About Us
From mountain biking in Pisgah to rock climbing in the Sierras, co-founders Joey and Peter became close friends over a shared love for outdoor adventures. Most of these adventures involved driving and overnighting in Peter's self-built Ford Transit conversion van. Over time, the desire to build out the ultimate adventure vehicles inspired them to create Sender Vans.
Meet The Team
Peter Guyre
Co-founder
Peter built his first van in 2014 while working as a professional climbing guide. He has over 20 years experience as a contractor including custom woodworking, designing retail spaces, kitchens, and bathrooms. He is our resident craftsman and CNC guru. Check out more of Pete’s work @peterwerks.
Joey Darragh
Co-founder
Joey spent his early career in Silicon Valley doing engineering work for Apple and Tesla. In 2015 he returned home to Virginia to co-found @vasenbrewing. At Sender, Joey focuses on design and integration of electrical and mechanical systems as well as automation and smart controls.
